Developing your primary game.
I think we do a pretty good job of showing the learning value of our game. And our game is fun to play, so that's always a plus. We could've used some improvment in developing our scenes a little better. But now, it's all coming together and it doesn't look half bad.

The thing I look forward to the most about working in a team, is the experience it'll give me. I'm really interested to see what all we can accomplish by the end of our game. Hopefully, it'll be a good game that might teach others to not litter, and people will enjoy playing it. I think that's the main goal of our team.

Choosing a topic.
My group is the Muduckies. We chose to do a game about littering. I think the Social Issues Knowledge Area will help us out by giving us information on littering. We can probably see exactly how much of an issue this actually is, and how it destroys the earth.
Playing to learn.
Genre 4: Strategy Strategy games require you to engage careful decision-making in order to achieve a long-term objective. There is less overall activity and typically more time to formulate a plan of action in strategy games, although some require improvisational planning under a strict time pressure. Oftentimes, strategy games will attempt to simulate a real-life situation.
That would have to be the one that most fits the plot for our game, or can reate to it. In our game, the objective is to catch the litter that is coming down, into a recycle bin. Of course there's going to be other objects falling down, also. If the player makes the mistake of putting something that doesn't belong in the recylce bin, then there will probably be points that are deducted, & if it gets to be a certain number of items, then the level will have to start over. Or something along those lines. So it's kind of a strategy game, because it requires you to make careful decisons in order to win the game.

Mini Game Project
Yesterday we had to do something with Globaloria templates. We had a carrot, a wolf, and some other random things. Basically we had to delete everything that was on our template except for the carrot, and then save it. But the other templates are still in our folder. I think we're saving them for later.

Computers.
Today we watched a video about computers. I taught us how computers work, and how they connect to each other. It said that every computer has an I.P address and that's how they connect. I thought it to be kind of interesting. I guess the fact that it was a cartoon helped, and it didn't make it so boring.
Christmas Break
On Christmas Eve I went to my Aunt Barb's house, where the whole family goes to every year. We always have a bunch of appetizers and sweets. This year, I brought Mason. He's really the first boy that I've ever brought around my family. I thought it might be a good idea to meet the rest of my family since we are having a baby. It actually went really well, and wasn't nearly as bad as thought it was gonna be.
Then after that we went to Mason's grandparents house. They still don't know yet, but they will soon. We ate a little bit of food there, and then went back to Mason's house.
Christmas time was the usual, opened presents early in the morning at the house, then went to my grandpa's afterwards, then my great grandma's. Then, after all that, went to Mason's. He got me a ring, and a web cam for when we can't see each other, haha.
Some things I got from my family were an ipod stereo player, and a new camera. Which is good 'cause I have to take pictures for my senior project.
